“Postmay?” you ask – what’s that mean? Good Question. When I was in university studying all this media stuff and working on “One+One”, people were always asking me what I was going to do with all this new found knowledge after graduation? And they way that most people worded the question was this, “Hey Sid, what you are going to do post-May?” It was a question asked weekly, if not daily. The question really is what drove me to search myself and figure out what is it I was going to do, or at the very least wanted to do. After some soul-searching and what not – I decided that I wanted to develop purposeful media for those who are making a difference in the world through their various activities, technology, sustainability, music, athletics, art, etc.
I am an idealist and a visionary who believes that there is a great need in this world for people and business with a greater purpose than the almighty dollar. I care a great deal about human rights and the poor and it is my dream to use the platform of Postmay to be a catalyst for others to be a part of the solution that brings and end to poverty, injustice and inequality.
So I combined the phrase “post-May” into a life mission if you will – to make what I do post-May matter. The name came naturally. I moved to the Denver in November of 2009 to begin the journey of developing Postmay. Denver is home to more non-profits than almost anywhere in the US, and also my birthplace. It is my hope and dream that the commercial work that I do through Postmay will allow us to spend a great deal of our time overseas making a profound, permanent, sustainable difference in the world.
